Overcoming Worry and Self-Doubt
Do you find yourself not speaking up or setting boundaries because you worry about what people may think of you?
Are you constantly comparing yourself to others and finding you never measure up?
Do you have a hard time acknowledging your self worth or value?
Do you criticize yourself for making mistakes or refuse to take risks due to fear of failure?
Self-esteem is a concept that speaks to how we feel about ourselves. Our esteem directly impacts how we live our life and the how we interact with others. Experiences you have had in the past, may have left you feeling less than, unlovable, or incompetent. It may be hard to believe those thoughts you have about yourself aren’t true, and more than likely, they aren’t.
Some areas of focus for therapy:
- Depressed mood and anxiety
- Lack of joy in life
- Feelings of anger, guilt, sadness
- A lack of boundaries
- Loneliness
- Isolation
- Codependency
The good news is that you can begin to feel better about who you are by changing the false beliefs, unwanted behaviors and invalidating way you’ve learned to see yourself. Together we can start to change the negative thoughts you have about yourself and replace the critical self-talk with self-love and self-compassion to reflect who you are at your core.
